The interview of Mike Johnson, the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, by Sean Hannity, clearly reveals a ‘well instructed’ leader and the reasons his peers elected him.
A man of Madisonian ‘piety’ unabashed faith, and ‘inward principle’, schooled by his study of the Bible, Constitutional Law, and Christian World View, was chosen Speaker by House Republicans. He will need the prayers of Christians in America in the days, weeks, and months ahead as he faces serious public policy challenges in America, and significant foreign policy decisions abroad.
His concept of three branches of Government: Judicial, Legislative, and Executive, is based on Isaiah 33:22
“For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King.”
He made it clear in his interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News, that he understands Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Thank God that we finally have an elected official in high office who knows and actually believes our national motto.
“In God We Trust”
And in fact, believes “The Eternal Rules of Order and Right” still apply to America’s laws, well-being, and wise policy.
