Dear Born Again Child of God
Given the many serious issues that fill our newscasts on a daily basis, it is difficult to stay focused on what really matters.
Whether it is the Middle East, Israel, Iran, the Ukraine war, the persecution of Christians, or lawlessness and deception in Minneapolis or D.C., Americans must still put food on the table, pay bills and find time for their children and the needs of others while taking precautions in a severe winter storm.
As a “Watchman-on-the-wall”, what goes on around the world, and here in America, is constantly vying for my attention. It can be alarming, worrisome, and left to our natural propensity to become fearful . . . disabling and unstable for those who do not know Christ. It need not be!
When a person comes to Christ, God the Father instantaneously imparts the Holy Spirit to that person, forgives their sin, grants them eternal life, and the righteousness of Christ. They are, in every sense, “born again.”
We have, in reality, “new eyes” to open, read, and discover the truths of the Bible; having our minds illuminated by the Holy Spirit to understand how it applies to all of life, enabling us to grow in Christ and become the person God intended us to be.
(I Corinthians 2:6-16; Ephesians 1:17-18; II Corinthians 4:6; Psalm 119:130; John 16:13-14).
All of the current troubles in the world can, and probably will . . . in some way, affect our families, and the Church in America, in ways those who do not know Christ, and even many who profess faith, but are deceived by the world, do not comprehend or understand,
