Restoring First Principles

“In disquisitions of every kind, there are certain primary truths, or first principles, upon which all subsequent reasoning must depend.”

Alexander Hamilton 1757-1804

Signer of the U. S. Constitution and author of 51 of the 85 Federalist Papers
“which were of immense consequence in influencing the ratification of the Constitution.”1

It was Hamilton shortly after the Constitutional Convention of 1787 who said. . .

“I sincerely esteem it a system which without the finger of God, never could have been suggested and agreed upon by such a diversity of interests.”

Disquisition: “A formal discourse or treatise in which a subject is examined and discussed.”

Parental Rights and Responsibility Is One Of Those
“First Principles”

Sweeping across the nation is currently a movement to respect parental influence and rights as it relates to what our children are being taught, and subjected to, in public schools . . . and rightly so. Children belong to parents, not the state, teachers, administrators . . . or local school boards.

District School Boards, and teacher unions, under the influence of education “professionals”, “consultants” and “academicians” who have embraced Critical Race and White Supremacy Theories; transgenderism, and subsequent gender dysphoria; steadfastly believe it is their responsibility – and duty – to re-educate (i.e. deliver) our children from the ‘outdated views’ of their parents, and our Founders; all while conforming their minds to embrace global warming, the “new world order”, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governmental) strategies, and failed socialist ideas.

On October 30th, 2008, Barack Obama said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

On May 14th, 2008, Michelle Obama said, “We are going to have to change our conversation; we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; We’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.”

And she was right. Under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Obama’s understudy, we have ‘had to’, rather . . . been coerced . . . to change our ‘conversations’, our ‘traditions’, our view of history, illegal immigration; justice; crime, law enforcement, the role of government, and what we believe . . . whether we approve it or not.

For eight years the Obama Administration, and those who agreed with him – along with Joe Biden as his Vice President – set their agenda in motion to “transform America”.

As a result of this ongoing re-education, and re-orientation away from our Judeo- Christian values and Heritage; the increase in crime, youth suicide, lawlessness, disrespect for authority, and life itself; their own, and others; including the elderly, law enforcement, and parents, has grown exponentially in the last several years.

The Biden Administration’s words, policies, and actions reflect an indulgent indifference to such uncalled for and lawless behaviors. Biden’s choice to invite to the White House the two black Memphis legislators who were expelled for organizing a protest and disrupting the Tennessee Legislature without even mentioning the victims or transgender killer of three children and 3 adults at a Christian School in Nashville, tells us everything about his convoluted values and priorities.

The need for a return to First Principles is unquestioned. However, the will to do it is not in the White House.

Parental Rights Must Include Parental Responsibility.

If parents are responsible for what their children are taught, starting in the home, and in our public schools, they should also be responsible for where their children are as the sun goes down, and what they are doing in the streets of our cities until late at night.

If parents fail to do that, and their children are cited by law enforcement, it is parents who should pay for damages and fines incurred by their children, not law-abiding taxpayers.

Parents, should be held accountable to pay for damages and fines incurred by the lawless behavior of their children in the streets of our cities, large and small.

As our towns and cities get back to First Principles, one of which is Parental Responsibility for their child’s lawless behavior, our streets would see far fewer numbers of youth rioting, looting and inflicting damage to private and public property.

First Principles: The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments on their relevance and cultural merit, should be conspicuously placed in every public school in America, emphasizing in bold letters the fifth, sixth, eighth and tenth Commandments.

“Thou Shat Honor Thy Father and Mother”

“Thou Shalt Not Steal”

“Thou Shalt Not Covet”

i.e. “To desire inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others.”
