Easter is the Christian Celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the rock-carved tomb in which He was placed, and guarded by Roman soldiers after His Crucifixion. It is His Resurrection that validates His Teaching, and atoning work to deliver us from the power of sin, death, and deceitful wiles of the Prince of the power of the air.
Despite efforts by the Chief Priests and Pharisees, to explain away the empty tomb, the fact of the Resurrection was witnessed, testified to, and known by far too many in Jerusalem to be denied, and has never been refuted.
What is denied, however, by the secular, unbelieving, dismissive, and godless we have elevated to lead us in contemporary America, is the relevance of His life, claims, ministry, and Resurrection to all that is amiss in America and around the world.
The Apostle Paul, previously named Saul, was a Pharisee and persecutor of Christians and a witness to the stoning of Stephen. Sometime after his conversion on the Damascus Road, he wrote to the Church at Corinth as follows . . .
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures; and that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve; after that, He was seen of above 500 brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some have died. After that, He was seen of James; then of all the Apostles. And last of all He was seen of me also, as one born out of due time. For I am the least of the Apostles, and am not worthy to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.”
I Corinthians 15:3-9
Hundreds of millions of people since His Resurrection, of all ethnicities around the globe, are recipients of the life-giving promises of Jesus of Nazareth, the greatest witness, and testimony to the truth of His claims.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
John 14:6
The world wants to believe there is another way, a way of their own choosing, which rejects God’s authority over His creation…including mankind, a self-deception that leads to death.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
An hour is coming. and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.”
John 4:24-25
“I am the resurrection, and the life; he who believes in me shall live even if he dies,
and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Lord God, may the truth of Your Son’s resurrection from the dead, and what it accomplished for all who place their trust in Him, penetrate our stony and worldly minds and hearts this Easter. Restore our nation and our faith in You. Young and old need new life, life that can only be found in you. In Your Name we pray, so be it.
