The Spirit Of Party

“A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
Thomas Jefferson

Dear Friends Of America as we have known it,

The last 4 months have been tumultuous, and fraught with danger to the maintenance of our free Republic.

George Washington, in his Farewell Address, September 17, 1796 warned that . . .

“a small but artful and enterprising minority” would “become
potent engines by which cunning, ambitious and unprincipled men” would be “enabled to subvert the power of the people, and usurp for themselves
the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines
which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

Washington warned in that address of the “baneful effects of the spirit of party” as the “worst enemy” of our national unity and the “domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissension” and “a frightful despotism”, all of which we are witnessing since day one of the Biden Presidency.

This “ambitious and unprincipled ‘minority’, after Donald Trump was elected in 2016, immediately and unethically set about destroying an elected U. S. President in the eyes of the voting public. They ridiculed and challenged his every effort to correct long standing problems in America using sympathetic courts, contrived investigations, and a corrupt media. The ‘spirit of revenge’ and ‘frightful despotism’ of these factions is palpably on display in the democrat effort to ‘impeach’ an already disgraced populist President simply because he threatened their inside “the Swamp” corruption.

That is precisely and prophetically what happened in the 2020 General Election, unlawfully changing duly constituted state and Constitutional laws in order to manipulate the outcome of the election and foist upon the American people the will of a “cunning” few rather than the honest many. In so doing they further divided the country.

In spite of the efforts to destroy our values and faith in Christ as LORD and Sovereign over all the kingdoms of man, those who would lead us astray will not prevail. Our faith will not be extinguished, and our LORD will return in power and might as KING of kings.

Fear not believer, stand your ground. Do not be dismayed. Look unto Him Who is our Life and Hope. He is our wisdom and strength. Proclaim the Name of Jesus and the Way of Salvation. Stay involved in governance as salt and light citizens, calling our local elected authorities, school boards and election officials to be accountable to the people.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
II Corinthians 10:3-5

Pray for our leaders, those in elected office and in the pulpits of
America, that they will lead and speak boldly in the Name of Jesus Christ Who “always causes us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.”
II Corinthians 2:14-15

“Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind!”
