While America Sleeps

In the last Call To Prayer, I wrote of the our Forefathers who came to America “to be free to worship God as they chose and to freely pursue their dream of a better life.” Their guiding light was the Bible and faith in Christ as LORD of heaven and earth. They had to fight to protect and preserve their God granted rights, rights which formed the foundation of the freest and most prosperous nation in history,
William Kilpatrick, an insightful Catholic writer and observer of Western Civilization in his latest article, writes…
“Major turning points in history don’t come along very often. That’s why people are generally unprepared for them when they arrive.
We’re on the threshold of one now– a pivotal moment that threatens to cast us back to a very dark period in history. Already in Europe, people have become accustomed to seeing women in identity-obliterating burqas, to news of brutal attacks on Jews, and to daily reports of stabbings and vehicular homicide carried out in the name of Allah.
In England, Sweden, Germany, and elsewhere, violent migrant rapists receive feather-light sentences, while those who call for action against migrant crime can suddenly find themselves in prison.
Instead of learning the lessons provided by Europe’s plight, many in America are adopting the same policies of compromise and appeasement. Bishops push for more Muslim migration. Textbooks whitewash Islamic history. And the FBI long ago purged its training manuals of the kind of information about Islamic ideology that might have prevented the Fort Hood massacre, the Orlando nightclub shooting, the Boston Marathon massacre, and other Islamic terror attacks.

Beyond the Islamic threat to America, and western civilization, compromise and appeasement of homosexuals, transgenders, illegal aliens, politicians, and bureaucrats who violate, circumvent, and scoff at our Constitution and laws, is evident on a daily basis. Criminal elements are granted protections in “Sanctuary” cities and states as well as the halls of government in Washington D.C.. Our children are increasingly exposed in public schools to homosexual propaganda and identity confusion. Young boys, girls, women, and small children are increasingly vulnerable to criminal elements for the purpose of prostitution, child pornography, drugs, and filthy lucre, while politicians and media focus on their own selfish aspirations.
The “Turning Point” for Western Civilization is whether we will own the truth that we have brought this upon ourselves by rejecting the ”eternal rules of order and right” clearly revealed in Biblical revelation, and turning back to that truth in our personal and public lives, or continue to thumb our noses at the singular revelation that will save our souls . . . and the nation, from certain calamity.

Pray…And Act!
Our Father, open our eyes to the necessity of actively working to inform our friends and neighbors of the danger to our freedoms of doing nothing to protect the dream of the Founders and millions of contemporary Americans. May we repent of our sin of indifference, return to You in humility and brokenness, that we and the nation may be healed and once again see the glory of the LORD in our land to the happy end that you are Exalted as LORD of All. In Thy Holy Name and in the power of Thy might we pray. Amen.
