After spending most of the campaign unable to explain his record of supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants, Marco Rubio has now simply resorted to calling anyone a “liar” who points out the truth.
At the South Carolina Debate, Ted Cruz correctly called Marco Rubio out for his record of supporting amnesty, in-state tuition for illegals, and refusing to end Obama’s executive amnesty immediately:
CRUZ: You know, the lines are very, very clear. Marco right now supports citizenship for 12 million people here illegally. I oppose citizenship. Marco stood on the debate stage and said that. But I would note not only that, Marco has a long record when it comes to amnesty. In the state of Florida, as speaker of the house, he supported in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. In addition to that, Marco went on Univision in Spanish and said he would not rescind President Obama’s illegal executive amnesty on his first day in office. I have promised to rescind every single illegal executive action, including that one. Rubio responded that these and other accusations were lies:
RUBIO: Look, this is a disturbing pattern now, because for a number of weeks now, Ted Cruz has just been telling lies…He lies about Planned Parenthood. He lies about marriage. He’s lying about all sorts of things. And now he makes things up. The bottom line is this is a campaign and people are watching it. And they see the truth behind all these issues.

Instead Marco Rubio voted for a drive-by “show vote” that had no hope of becoming law and gave up the leverage Republicans had to actually defund Planned Parenthood.
WASHINGTON POST: “The Senate voted, 52 to 47, on Thursday night to repeal large portions of Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood. The repeal was wrapped inside a budget reconciliation bill that needed a simple majority of 51 senators to make good on a longstanding promise to voters that a GOP-led Congress would eliminate large portions of Obamacare…The reconciliation bill is under a veto threat from President Obama and is not likely to become law anytime soon.”

This prompted the National Organization to say it could not support Rubio for President: “We need bold leadership from the next President to fight back against an imperial judiciary,” [NOM President Brian] Brown said in an email to Breitbart News. “Senator Rubio is merely giving lip service when he says he supports traditional marriage…Rubio and Bush, on the other hand, are simply caving. Period. Right now I can’t see conservatives supporting either.”

A matter of serious importance is taking place in the South Carolina Campaign for the Republican nomination to be President. Two Candidates, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump are calling Ted Cruz a liar at every media opportunity they can get. Donald Trump, in order to get media attention and further entrench the view in the voters minds that Cruz cannot be trusted to tell the truth is threatening to sue Cruz, a tactic which demonstrates his fear of the Cruz campaign.
The ongoing deceptions and accusations of both Trump and Rubio that came to light in the two recent debates have left no option for Cruz but to rebut their dishonesty and lack of character.
Today, Cruz called a press conference to address each deception. See for yourself if Cruz has a case. Note: Since this media outlet posted the Press Conference live, it has left a black screen in it’s place. Once the link connects to the page, wait a minute or two to see if it comes up. That worked for me, then half way through, it stopped. I was fortunate to watch it live to completion.

If Cruz loses South Carolina it will be in part due to repeated lies by Trump and Rubio and a complicit media that refuses to reveal the facts that the Cruz Campaign has amply provided.
