The potential for economic, moral, and political collapse is rising like the sun in the heat of the morning. Honest men warn us daily that we are moving ever closer to an economic abyss. No one is foolish enough to dispute it, because it is indisputable, yet our President and those of his party play chicken chess in Washington to ensure their re-election, as if we the people were rag dolls to be tossed in a corner while they play with our lives, the well being of our families, and our entire future as a nation.
The fall from the economic cliff will come as a shock to everyday Americans as we spiral downward, but the splatter of broken families, broken dreams, and ensuing poverty at the bottom of the cliff will be far worse. The “hope and change” promised by the community organizer will be a double edged sword in the heart of every American. The ‘change’ will be like moving from the dance floor to the dungeon. The ‘hope’ will be like shattered glass.
America is not ready. We are in denial. His followers then are still pie eyed now, revealing the ignorance and foolishness poured into our children’s brains, like sludge, at the hands of a radical liberal education elite set in gleeful motion by a judicial system that mocks the laws of God. If you don’t believe me, look at the polls that come out daily. The narcissist in chief is still the favorite of nearly half of those polled.
There is a Proverb in the Old Testament (Proverbs 24:7) that says “Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.” Frankly, that characterizes the pied piper who only a few years ago sold the majority of voters a bill of goods when he spoke of ‘hope and change’, transparent government, manageable unemployment and a restored economy. None of that has come to pass. How could it? He foregoes wisdom, blames others, refuses to lead, cut spending, or allow any steps toward energy independence, all the while engaging in class warfare to distract from his abject failures.
The Proverb goes on to say, “The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner (of truth) is an abomination to men.” Hmm…
And then there is a warning:
“If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; if thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”
The proverb speaks not only to Obama, his administration, and his campaign team, all of whom have trafficked in lies and deception, which they continue to this day, it applies to us as well.
We have the opportunity to change course, come November 6th. The question is, will we Christians pay heed to the very Scriptures we say guide our steps and enlighten our eyes? Will we make any effort to get a few million more of our brethren registered to Vote, informed, and out to Vote? Remember…
“If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; if thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”
