Thursday, Merrily and I watched “I Can Only Imagine” a true story of a young man who overcame a broken family, an abusive father, and a broken heart, to realize his dream. It is sweeping the country and filling theaters night and day with a message of hope and the incomprehensible power of God to deliver us in the midst of what to us may seem impossible circumstances. Just imagine, a nation transformed by the power of God!
If you have not seen it, you MUST. It may break your heart wide open, but it also may lead to healing it as only God can. Just imagine.
It is no coincidence that it has come to theaters throughout America just before Easter, the greatest event of hope and deliverance the world has ever known. We can only imagine how many lives over two millennia the miracle of the resurrection has touched, relationships restored, and hearts that have, and will be changed…forever.
Without the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the only begotten Son of God, there would be no hope of deliverance from the power of sin in which all humanity suffers, no power to transform our lives from sorrow, guilt, shame, and hopelessness. But with God … all things are possible. Just imagine…a ‘great awakening’ sweeping the nation with millions coming to know the Savior. Imagine!
As for me… I dream of a move of God in the hearts of His Children in Oregon … and across the nation … that drives us to our knees and our duty as His Ambassadors to proclaim His Truth anew and afresh to this generation; to Value our Vote and Vote our Values; to stop abortion with our signatures and our voices, AS ONE MAN, for righteousness’ sake in our homes, schools, market place, and the halls of government … to the Glory of God!
I can only imagine.
He is risen!

Pray For America
Gracious LORD of heaven and earth, forgive us for our little faith, our distorted view of you, our sin, and selfishness. Renew a right spirit within us that trusts solely in You and You alone to make us whole, and a blessing to all around us. Renew our minds with Your eternal truth, and change our hardened hearts. Convict us of our sin as only you can, and lead us by the gentleness of Your Holy Spirit to surrender fully and completely to You. May we once again, as so many before us, come alive with vision and the power of Your Holy Spirit to imagine what will happen as we glorify Your dear Son, in whose Name we pray, Amen.
