Sovereignty – “Absolute power and authority. Superior to all others”
“The LORD foils the plans of the nations;
He thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of His heart through all generations”
Psalm 33:10-1l
On March 9th, I wrote of Jesus’ scathing rebuke of the hypocrisy and lawlessness of the self-righteous Pharisees and Scribes who saw Him as a threat to their self-appointed and self-serving control of the Jews in Jerusalem.
I likened His description to the anti-God, anti-Christian ideologues of the religious Left in America that have taken over the Democrat Party, numerous state governments, the media, our universities, children’s minds, and the seats of power in Washington D.C..
The suppression and censorship of those who are opposed to their agenda, using the bully pulpit of the President, complicit ideologues in the White House, fellow travelers in the media, education, corporate boards, and even our justice system . . . is obvious, odious, and rightly despised by Americans who know when their freedoms and rights are being abused.
Recently, the Pastor of the Church I attend in Tennessee, of which I am a member, saw what was happening in America, and to Christians, and wisely chose to take his growing congregation through the little book of Esther, which clearly demonstrates the sovereign intervention of God to save His people, in spite of the evil strategies of a wicked leader.
Yielded and surrendered to Him, our LORD works through us as He did with Mordecai and Esther, oft times without us knowing as we serve others. It is “Christ in us, the hope of Glory.” (Colossians 1:27)
He Who was, and is, and is to come, will continue to exercise His Sovereign power as He did with Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, the Prophets, Mordecai, Esther, and Jesus, His Only Begotten Son . . . and now . . . once again, for His people, in the Nation of Israel.
“For the LORD Almighty has purposed,
and who can thwart Him?
His hand is stretched out, and who can
turn it back?”
Isaiah 14:27
“I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.”
Isaiah 46:10
The Sovereign Hand of God works behind the scenes as He has for over 3 millennia to preserve His people, thwart the plans of the wicked, fulfill His purposes, promises, and wipe away our tears. Come quickly LORD Jesus!

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
