Ginzburg: End Of An Era

Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died Friday at the age of 87. She is being lionized by those on the left as a great woman, having broken through the judicial ‘glass ceiling’, enduring serious health challenges while continuing to be a force on the Court, championing liberal thought, and issues.
No one questions her commitment to her husband, family, the work of the court, and personal courage, but I would caution Christians not to be deceived by the left’s self serving adulation. The usual voices of the left in the democrat party, media, and academia are already using her death, to recover their waning ability to regain political power in Washington.
The End Of An Era
The last 100 years of our history has witnessed a steady turning away from our Judeo-Christian foundation to a secular religion that denies the existence of an all knowing, all powerful Supreme Being, embraced evolution, denied creation, and removed God from our schools and public square.
Those who religiously advocate these positions are now at work to “cancel,” i.e. remove the Christian basis of our culture, while seeking to redefine everything to accommodate their fleshly lusts and remove the image of God from conception to the grave. Their thinking, actions, and progress is as demonic as can be imagined in an effort to be, as promised by Satan, “as gods, knowing good and evil,” and “wise” (Cf. Genesis 3:1-6), in charge and control of everything on the earth.
Occupy Till He Comes
The promises and policies of the Left in America are in free fall and their proponents are desperate for heroes and Votes, their last hope of gaining the power the spirit of this world has deceived them to believe is there for the taking.
The promise of Socialism and free government handouts have been the promise of communism and failing tyrants for centuries. All are devoid of common sense. The election of Joe Biden will only lead to a Kamala Harris Presidency with Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez as key advisors.
As Jesus said to Pilate, “Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above,” these unbelieving and rebellious Christ and Christian haters have no power over His people unless it is given to them by God.
Unless those who have given their lives to Him as LORD and Savior and recognize He wishes them to arise from their slumber to exercise their citizenship duty in this coming election, He may well exercise that exception as He has in the past with Israel and Judah, and those nations and empires since.
God help us if we don’t! And He may not, if we fail to take that duty seriously.

To Oregon Pastors
As a former pastor, and ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I find this continued neglect of pastoral duty by our Evangelical Shepherds, to teach, and lead their flocks in their fundamental citizenship duties, to be an atrocious and inexcusable disservice to both the Body of Christ, the lost, and those longing for spiritual and moral leadership in America.
Observing your silence, failure to lead, and failure to speak out “as one man” against the evils of our time as the moral and ethical conscience of America, is a terrible witness to all Oregonians, be they fellow pastors, fathers, mothers, children, business and professional leaders, law enforcement, and godly men and women who would like to serve in public office. This failure is a major reason why men are leaving the church, as are our teens, and college students, never to return.
I find it not only personally offensive but am convinced it is offensive to the LORD Who called you, if indeed He did. Unless you humble yourselves and turn from this wicked neglect as you are called to do in II Chronicles 7, He will not respond to your prayers, nor heed your cries to show up in your services. Without your resounding and fearless witness to truth, including responsible citizenship, He will not heal our state or nation. Be the moral conscience and shepherds you are called to be!
I challenge you in the little time that remains before the most important election in both America and Oregon, to hold 3 Voter Registration Sundays, starting September 27th, and call your member’s attention to the importance of returning our Legislature to the people, and the wisdom of our Founders.
