But foremost in the celebration of our freedom from tyrants without, and tyranny from within, was former Congressman Trey Gowdy’s remarkable explanation of why the pursuit of ‘truth’ must always be our goal as a people, in our government, and for the preservation of our freedoms in America.
On his “Sunday Night In America” program on Fox News, Gowdy expounded on America as the most “Consequential Country in History over the last 245 years as a source of light, justice, prosperity, and a sanctuary for those fleeing oppression”.
He reminded us of our history of “defending and liberating others, the first to help” in times of catastrophe, a refuge and hope for those seeking freedom from tyrants, dictators, and tyranny around the world, based on the recognition by our Founders of “self evident ‘ truthes‘:
That ‘all men are created equal’, that our rights to ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ come from our Creator, and cannot be ‘stripped away’ by tyrants, judges, elected officials or self appointed politicians, their henchmen, bureaucrats, healthcare officials, lawless activists, ideologues in Big Tech, or foreign actors, private or public.
He acknowledged there “is something called truth and that it need not be hidden,” that “The source of these ‘truthes‘ is our ‘Creator’ and ‘Deliverer.’
(A reference to Christ’s death on the Cross to deliver us from the power of
sin and death and open the door to eternal life.)
He closed by saying “We can and will survive and flourish as a country so long as we hold these truthes to be self evident , ‘believe, and practice them.’
Here’s The Truth
Never in my lifetime or historical recall have I ever seen the need for ‘truth telling‘ more than I do now.
Our public officials from Washington D.C., The White House, State Department, most other Federal and State Agencies, the NEA, The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of our Military, teachers unions, and Ignorant WOKE Corporate Boards are forcefully imposing Critical Race Theory onto their staffs and into our public schools from K-12 without our permission or approval and threatening to sue parents who do not agree or cooperate.
Our silence or subdued response is tantamount to acquiescence to the WOKE mob determined to ‘transform’ America by force to accept their anti Christ ultra liberal fascist imposition of socialism into every American Institution without our consent!
Wake up! Stand UP! Shake off your apathy! Quit you like men! Be Strong, and go to battle for your children, freedoms, and America!
George Washington’s Prophetic Warning
On September 19, 1796,George Washington, in his Farewell Address as the First President of The United States, delivered a prophetic Warning about the danger to America of “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men” who ‘usurp for themselves the reins of government.”‘
”…to put, in the place of the delegated will of the Nation, the will of a party; – often a small but artful and enterprising minority…they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunnning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the Power of the People and to usurp for themselves the reins of government; destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them in unjust dominion.”
“But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism – The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual… [who] turns this disposition to the purpose of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty.”
The Prophecy Fulfilled
Since the Inauguration of Joe Biden to the Presidency of the United States, it has become transparently clear that his elevation to that position is the result of ideologically ‘cunning, ambitious and unprincipled men’ who subverted ‘the power of the people,’ ‘usurped for themselves the reins of government,’ to replace ‘the delegated will of the nation’ with ‘the will of a Party’, and are ‘destroying afterward the very engines which have lifted them’ to ‘unjust dominion.”‘
No matter how you rationalize it, ‘cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men’ (and women) acted in disregard of our state laws in disrespect for millions of voters in the 2020 General Election. They ‘usurped for themselves the reins of government’ to impose ‘the will of a Party.’
Declaring Our Freedom … Again
When our Constitutional rights of freedom of speech and assembly, religious liberty, and pursuit of happiness are denied or censored and not ‘secured’ by those sworn to protect those freedoms, is it not ‘necessary’ – as our Founders believed it to be – to ‘declare the causes‘ which ‘impel’ us to “alter” unconstitutional laws and remove from office those who exercise their assumed political power and control wrongly? Are these rights not Unalienable? Does our tolerance of these violations not lead to a ‘more formal and permanent despotism’?
And how do we do that if our concerns, opposition, and views are censored by government and private entities who wish to control all discussion and views they do not want others to hear?
It is time for Christians and principled conservatives to heed the warning of our first President, stand up, speak out, make our voices heard in our State Capitols and Washington D.C., and remove from office those who fail to keep their sworn commitments to we-the-people.
