LORD God of heaven, the Eternal Sovereign Whose dominion rules over the affairs of men, we have elected men and women who know you not, nor care for your authority over their lives and ours. With a proud look, lying tongues, and wicked imaginations they run easily to mischief, bear false witness, speaketh lies, and soweth discord. We pray today and in the days ahead that they will be caught in their own deceipt as they seek to destroy a good man for political ends, all such motivations of which, are an abomination in your sight. May truth prevail and discernment be granted to all who are charged with deciding who is telling the truth, and who is not. In His holy, all knowing, and blessed Name we pray. Amen.
