When will our pastors and Christian leaders stand up?

Last week, Barack Obama, with the aid of his Vice President, outed himself on what many of us suspected from the outset of his campaign for the Presidency.  After listening to his speeches since his election, his campaign for gays openly serving in the military, and his comments behind closed doors to the GLBT community in government, there was little doubt that his ‘evolution’ to so called ‘gay marriage’ was inevitable.

When his Attorney General refused to defend DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act), with corresponding silence, er go approval from the White House in violation of their oath to defend the laws of the land, what we all knew about this President’s radicalism and disdain for the Constitution, federal law, their oath, and the will of the people expressed in 32 states, is now impossible to ignore, and without dispute.

Barack Obama – who denies being an ideologue - is a supporter not of federal law or the clear majority of Americans, as attested in 32 states, but of the most radical, misguided, unwarranted, and divisive social change in all of history save Nazi Germany under Hitler and Communist Russia under Joseph Stalin.  And for what!  A political agenda to remake America to his own liking and that of his radical friends, a strategy reminiscent of tyrants down through history.

His support for so called ‘same sex’ marriage is the final proof that his purpose all along was, and is, ideological to the core, a foisting on all America of a far left anti God, anti Christ, anti Christian, agenda akin to that of Sol Alinsky, radical terrorist Bill Ayers, and left wing socialists from both coasts, Chicago, and our most liberal college and university campuses nationwide.  If given 4 more years, he will destroy everything that made America the greatest and freest nation on earth.

The politically concocted, misbegotten phrase, ‘Same Sex Marriage’ flies against all civilized history and says more about our self serving and sexually disoriented society than anything else.  Those who advocate such deviancy from what is obviously unnatural in every respect, show contempt for historic wisdom with regard to what is best for men and women and particularly children.  It is the height of self absorption, disordered souls, and a disordered society.

With all the social studies and research clearly showing that marriage between a man and a woman is best for men, women, and children, and a functional society, this President self servingly preferred the lie over the truth.

But what is equally disturbing is the silence of our Congressman,  Senators, Christian leaders and pastors upon this President’s announcement.

Dr. Kenyn Cureton, Vice President for Church Ministries at the Family Research Council in Washington D.C., in a recent Newsletter to pastors stated, “As troubling as that is (Obama’s position on marriage), even more troubling is a reply that was made to Tony (Tony Perkins, President of FRC) by a well-known Senator in response to Tony’s questions as to why the opposition party was not raising the issue and defending Biblical marriage, as is stated in their platform.”

The Senator’s reply? “We are not hearing anything from the pastors and churches about this.”

After 13 years of appealing to pastors, 3 Conferences, numerous trips to Washington D.C. to meet with Arlington Group members to get pastors to speak out on the moral and social issues of our time, little has changed.  The fear of man instead of the fear of God continues unabated in our pulpits, pews, and politics.  As a result, there is no fear of God in our courts, our houses of government, laws and policies

Such fear is an affront to the God of heaven and earth, a shame equalled only by the silence of German Christians as the Jews were being hauled off to the Gas Chambers less than a century ago.  Silence and weakness from our pulpits and Christian leaders on this issue is equivalent to blatant unfaithfulness by a wife, and in biblical language, between the Bride of Christ and her Covenant keeping Husband, The LORD Jesus Christ.

Whether men of God grasp the significance of this satanic mindset in the White House, Halls of Congress, and the Church, and stand forcefully united against this diabolic plan to destroy what God has ordained, the course of the nation is sealed.  The capitulation to the prince of the power of the air by we Christians will be complete. We will have passed on to our children the unthinkable and irreversible.

But my people did not listen to My voice; and Israel did not obey me. So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, to walk in their own devices.

Collapsing Christianity in America

What’s at Stake in this election?   In addition to liberalizing the U.S. Supreme Court, losing control of our borders, national defense, government, and government spending, looms the specter of losing our religious liberty.

Based on the record of the current Administration and liberal members of the U.S. Senate, the tidal wave of assaults on churches, pastors, church boards and church members who seek to protect their rights of conscience, and speech, under the First Amendment, will escalate beyond imagination if Barack Obama is re-elected and the Senate remains under the control of liberal democrats.

For example, an ordinance to be voted upon in the next month by the Hutchinson City Council in Kansas provides a glimpse of what will be unleashed across the nation:  According to Todd Starnes, Fox News Commentator, the City Council of Hutchinson is considering a proposed ordinance that would “force churches in Hutchinson, Kan. to rent their facilities for gay weddings and gay parties”.

Starnes writes, “The Hutchinson measure would also have a major impact on private businesses and landlords. Restaurants, bars and retail shops would be required to provide special bathrooms for individuals who may have male body parts but identify as a female.”

According to a ’Fact Sheet’ sheet provided by the city, “employers would also be forced to allow workers to dress based on their gender identity.”

The Fact Sheet also states that, “Dress codes would not be precluded as long as an employer allows an employee to appear, groom and dress consistent with the employee’s gender identity and gender expression.” That means that ‘John’ or ‘Jerry’ could be hired as a male and then show up at work at a later date dressed as a female.

With regard to workplace and government restrooms, the fact sheet states, “A transgender person must be allowed to use restrooms appropriate to their gender identity rather than their assigned gender at birth without being harassed or questioned.”

Ladies, are you or your daughter comfortable with men in the women’s restroom, and not being able to say anything in protest lest you be hauled off to jail and possibly sued for discrimination?  Isn’t it possible, even likely, that those who want to indulge their own type of sexual deviancy can use this as an excuse to invade women’s restrooms without reprisal?

Husbands, are you prepared for your wives and daughters to be subjected to such nonsense, fear, and even potential abuse, simply to enter a place that is here-to-fore reserved for them, just to please the politically correct and provide special rights to deviants?

And as if this were not enough, the proposed revised ordinance “would also require transgender individuals to use the locker room and shower facilities of their choosing”!

The effect, even severe strain, on both employees, employer, workplace, court system, churches, schools, families, children, society and our freedoms under the Bill of Rights, is enormous and unwarranted!  Allowing these abnormal, morally disordered, and politically correct ordinances and laws, to be foisted upon the vast majority of normal Americans by a small, vocal, and organized minority does not need to happen.  Evangelicals have the VOTES, 58 million of them, but only 34 million voted in 2008!

If you say this type of ordinance will never happen, you are mistaken.  It happened in the state of Oregon 4 years ago when the democrat controlled state legislature and governor passed the same type of legislation, only worse, defied the law, and relied on a weak federal judge to prevent it from going to the people for a vote.

Consider that the Obama Administration is fully supportive of this type of legislation and with the ability to nominate and appoint two more justices to the Supreme Court, these laws may well be imposed top down no matter what we think.

Those pastors, church boards, and those who speak out on the basis of moral conviction, and Biblical teaching, will be charged, fined, and jailed.

Folks, the front line of battle is not the courts.  It is the ballot box! It is this election, not the next, that matters.  Do not wait until it is too late.

Engage NOW!

Are you registered to VOTE? Have you checked to see if you are still registered?  Have you moved, gotten married, changed your name? You must re-register if you are planning on voting November 6th.

Have you asked your Pastor and church board to hold non-partisan voter registration in your church?

Go to the Restore America web site for all the supporting information you need.

Forward this blog to all your friends and ask them to register and forward to their friends as well.

Requiring Taxpayers To Fund Other People’s Abortions

As clearly shown on the Oregon 2012 website “Oregon is one of only 13 states to require taxpayers to fund other people’s abortions, without restrictions, by court order.” “From 2003 to 2009, that amounts to $11.1 million in state money spent on 26,000 abortions!”  Thomas Jefferson, on September 6, 1819, wrote…

“The Constitution is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.”

And that is what the Oregon Supreme Court did in the case of Planned Parenthood Assn. v. Dept. of Human Res., 687 P. 2d 785 – Or: Supreme Court 1984, a case that included the ACLU – but not the public - typical of the liberal progressive strategy to impose their view and values on the citizenry without their permission, a strategy still in progress in all matters moral in courts throughout the nation.

Initiative 25, if placed on the November 6th General Election Ballot, and passed in Oregon, a bastion of liberal progressive policies, would be considered a major set back to their agenda in America.

15 States Opt Out Of Funding Obama’s Abortion Plan

With little comment by the media, and as reported in Lifenews.com, South Dakota in Mid March ”became the fifteenth state to cut abortion funding in the controversial Obamacare health care legislation that requires states to set up health insurance exchanges and Americans to purchase health insurance.”

When Governor Dennis Daugaard signed HB 1185, ”South Dakota joins Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas,  Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia” in opting out of “having abortion covered in their federally-mandated insurance plans.”

So what does that say about those states like Oregon who have been picking the taxpayer’s pockets for years to fund the killing of the innocents?  1 in 3 abortions in Oregon…..approximately 3,500 per year….are fully funded by taxpayers through the Oregon Health Plan!

Further, what does that say about the citizens of those states who tolerate the use of their hard earned dollars to fund the left’s agenda to rid us of  unwanted humans created by God and in His Image?  In addition – and possibly most convicting of all - what does it say about the Christian Community in those states and the pastors who should be railing from their pulpits against such practices?  Remember Nazi Germany?  They did it as well, in getting rid of the ‘unwanted.’

In Oregon, Citizen Initiative 25 has until May 18th to collect 150,000 signatures to place this issue on the November 6th General Election ballot.  As of April 13th, the sponsors have only 19,430 Signatures. This in spite of the fact that…

A petition can be signed online at their site

downloaded to circulate at church, bible studies, through Christian organizations, colleges, men’s and women’s groups, Christian radio stations, civic clubs and more. And, there are hundreds of thousands of Christians in Oregon who could easily sign the petition.

One begins to wonder what is going through the minds of Christian pastors and their church boards in Oregon when simple participation in this effort by half the Evangelical churches in the State could place this on the November ballot for which the citizens of Oregon could Vote. Go to http://oregon2012.org/ and make a difference.

Oregonians! Here’s your chance to participate constructively in the process to restore the voice of the people in civil government, end taxpayer funding of abortion in Oregon, and help preserve the lives of thousands.  You have less than 5 weeks, but by individuals taking simple, faith filled action, it can be done!

Romney’s Challenge

In the latest Gallup poll on the Republican Presidential Campaign conducted April 2-8 amongst registered Republicans and ‘Republican-leaning’ Independents, titled “Romney’s Challenge”, Gallup found that Romney now ”faces the challenge of building enthusiasm and, hence, turnout among certain key groups of Republicans among whom he has done less well during the primary contests so far. These include Midwestern, young, highly religious, and conservative Republicans.”

This report summarizes well the challenge Romney and his organization faces, particularly amongst younger voters and Evangelical Christians who attend church regularly.

In my view, unless he can succeed in persuading these groups that he can be counted on to remain committed to the conservative values he claims to hold, his ability to defeat Barack Obama rests with the level of disenchantment and determination amongst the populace to remove the current President from the White House.

If he indeed ‘runs to the middle’ as his campaign manager indicated he would, he faces the prospect of further alienating conservatives and losing what little enthusiasm that currently exists on his behalf.  Those are decisions he and his campaign team must address, and do so wisely.   Our decision as conservatives and evangelicals is whether we wish to have 4 more years of Barack Obama or 4 years of Mitt Romney.

Will The Conservative Base Get Behind Mitt Romney?

That is the question Megan Kelly asked at the close of her America Live program focused on the departure from the Presidential race by former Senator Rick Santorum. For all who have followed the Republican Presidential Campaign it is indeed the question for Mitt Romney, the Republican Establishment, the Tea Party, conservative Independents and Catholics, and especially, Evangelical Christians.  We will know the answer to that on November 7th, the day after Americans VOTE.

Here are the obstacles Mitt Romney and the Republican Establishment must overcome:

  • The perception by millions that Mitt Romney is a wealthy, silver spoon Northeastern liberal who is out of touch with the average American
  • The perception by millions that Mitt Romney is the stereotypical corporate Republican who will take care of the wealthy before anyone else
  • The perception by millions that his personal wealth and support by wealthy Republicans was used indiscriminatly to ‘carpet bomb’ his opponents into submission with negative ads, in order to win
  • His total disdain for Ronald Reagan’s commitment not to speak evil of a fellow Republican
  • His approval of a ‘scorched earth’ approach to campaigning against fellow Republicans
  • The sickening feeling in the pit of the stomach of conservatives that no matter who runs for office, money trumps character, love of country, and a passionate desire to serve
  • The disbelief amongst conservative Republicans that Romney is a committed conservative who can be counted on to hold firm on conservative social issues

As if these were not enough in themselves, many, many Evangelicals, the largest voting block in the nation, will find it very difficult to Vote for a person whose religious beliefs run counter to their own, deeply held convictions.

Factor in that Evangelicals and conservatives have long suffered the ‘usem and abusem’ manipulation of social conservatives by party leaders and you have a political party teetering on the brink of complete mistrust, malfunction, and failure. So how is this going to be any different than in 2006 and 2008?

“Winning” in America

A growing number of America’s citizenry will do just about anything to “WIN” these days, whether it is cheating on an exam, paying players to physically harm an opponent on the field of play, or defaming a young woman on facebook out of sheer jealousy until she takes her life.  For the troubled who see themselves as losers in life, the big ‘win’ is shooting your classmates or fellow workers indiscriminately – the, “I will show them” ‘win’.  For others, hiding evidence of fraud in business, gaming the system, or commiting perjury in a court of law is just another day at work.  It doesn’t seem to matter any more. Everything is relative you know. I am a product of time, chance, and primordial soup, so leave me alone and let me squirm  through life the way I want!  Survival of the fittest, remember?

What has the world come to?  Get even?  Get out of my way, or I’ll shoot, stab, steal you blind, or bludgeon you to death?  Doesn’t matter.  I have a right to do my thing, my way, when I want, how I want, and with whom I want!  So get out of my way or else!  I will run you down, run you over, and if I have to, I will destroy you.  Whatever it takes. I will WIN!

‘Winning’ for far too many, no longer includes honesty, humility, character, and hard work deserving of respect.  It has become something stunningly less, even cunning.  To the self absorbed, disenchanted, disaffected and spiritually lost amongst us, it now means attaining status in your own eyes and the eyes of your peers, getting your name in the newspaper or on television, a cheap thrill to prove you are ‘cool’.  Unfortunately it only proves how lost we really are.

“Winning” has become about the self, serving ME, not the self sacrificial service of others.

Could the problem be that we…

I.      Have other Gods we serve, like ourselves, and not Him?

II.    Have lots of idols, like persons and things?

III.  Talk only superficially and disdainfully of God and His Son?

IV.   Forget what is holy and worthy or our time?

V.     Dishonor our parents?

VI.    Take the lives of others who get in our way, if not literally, at least in our minds?

VII.  Throw away our morals, if we ever had any?

VIII. Steal?

IX.    Lie about others whenever it suits us?

X.      Are consumed by what others have that we want but don’t have?   Exodus 20.

God help us!  Come to think of it, He has! America’s last hope is not the spirit of this age, but the life giving, transforming Spirit that is from God.  Nothing has really changed since the Garden.  Mankind is still alone, separated from God, sin filled and sin pursuing, incapable of saving himself apart from the work of God in his or her life.   Unless we rediscover the humility of the God who humbled Himself, coming to His own creation to die the death of a common criminal, and turn to Him, we will not discover who we really are.  We will fall short of the glory of God, which is “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Electability? Or a Mess of Pottage?

It took Hitler and the Nazis only a few years to reconfigure the German Church to serve his wishes.  Wanting security, church leaders capitulated to Nazi pressure, bought in to Nazi doctrine and embraced his anti Semitic, Aryan propaganda.

The Republican establishment Mormon connection and promotion of the fallacy that Mitt Romney is more ‘electable’ than Rick Santorum, is similar to the Nazi propaganda assertion that what Germany needed was a leader who could return Germany to its former glory.

That Savior/Messiah motif was Obama’s theme and it is Romney’s assertion, aided and abetted by a lapdog conservative media.  Romney is held up as the only person who understands Wallstreet, capitalism, and how to restore America to its affluence and world leadership.  Santorum on the other hand argues that we must restore the reins of government back to the people and out of Washington.

The next two months – specifically the remaining Primaries in the remaining 21 states – will determine whether America takes the world banker bait behind Romney and Obama and further destroy any possibility of recovery, morally, spiritually, economically or politically.

Voting for a candidate who would lead us to believe he is a Christian, – a position he and his followers and the Republican Establishment hold to - but which CANNOT be squared with history or historic Christian doctrine, is the same grievous mistake the German Church made in trade for a false security whose end was, and still is, disastrous.

It is not about ‘electability’, but the power of inference to persuade the undecideds that it is futile to resist the foreordained outcome, an outcome decided by the powerful.  Example?  The media announcement today,  just before the Wisconsin Primary, that Senator Marco Rubio and former President Herbert Walker Bush have now endorsed Mitt Romney.

This election, more than even the 2008 Presidential election is about a world system based on the love of mammon, versus the Providential blessing of God upon a nation that continues to honor and uphold His revealed truth.

If 25-30% of Evangelical Chrisians continue to see Mitt Romney as their security in a world that is unraveling before our eyes, we will have capitulated to the spirit of this world, and ushered in acceptance of Mormonism as ‘Christian’ just as the German Church, like Esau (Genesis 25:29-34), sold their birthright to Hitler’s anti semitic, anti Christ doctrines, with disastrous results.

The world bankers behind the Federal Reserve fraud, and those who have sold their souls for a temporary fix as did Esau, will be satiated, but only temporarily.  The people of America, including those deceived Evangelicals who voted for Romney, will again find themselves deceived and bilked of their rightful blessing – as was Esau - by their willingness to give away their inheritance for a temporary mess of pottage.

Seriously…Christian!

Let’s face it brethren!  The only reason Barack Obama was elected President of the United States is because 25% of the 33 million Evangelicals who voted, ignored his background and record as a state and U.S. Senator, bought his pied piper campaign rhetoric and voted for him!  1 in 4 of those who professed to follow Jesus Christ as their LORD, threw aside their loyalty to the KING of kings and His eternal rules of order and right and voted for a charlatan.  Now, after 3 years of the most egregiously arrogant, incompetent, and duplicitous  leadership we have ever witnessed in a U.S. President, we are about to do the same thing all over again!

Exit polls in each Republican Primary consistently reveal that 25% or more of voting Evangelicals are voting for Mitt Romney for the same reasons they voted for Barack Obama…’hope and change’ as it relates to their pocket books and financial security,  without regard for the teachings of the One in whom they profess to worship.

With Obama, 1 in 4 Evangelical voters rationalized his radical record in support of abortion, the homosexual agenda, and redistributionist philosophy.  They opted instead to believe his campaign promises would bring responsible change when in fact the slogan was nothing more than a skillful dissimulation to disguise and conceal his real agenda in order to get elected.

Evangelicals who are voting for Romney are rationalizing the radical difference between their faith and his, choosing instead to place their faith in him, as if his association with Wall Street and big money trumps all other considerations.  When money and financial security rises to such heights in our thinking, it is idolatry.  Webster’s Dictionary states that idolatry is “anything on which we set our affections; that to which we indulge an excessive and sinful attachment.” It is a violation of both the First and Second Commandments written in stone by the finger of God.

Unless we come to our senses in the remaining Primaries, realize there is no Savior but One, and choose wisely, in accord with what best represents the teachings of the Word of God, there will be no chance of escape from the moral, spiritual and financial abyss we have allowed to be nourished by those we have chosen to represent us over the last 50 years.

As Dr. Albert Mohler, one of America’s foremost Evangelical Theologians said, “Evangelical Christians will either stand upon the authority and total truthfulness of the Bible, or we will inevitably capitulate to the secular worldview.”

Seriously….Christian!  Are you going to stand…or capitulate?
